Pashinyan files lawsuit against “Strong Armenia” leader over drug allegations

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has filed a lawsuit against Samvel Karapetyan, the chairman of the “Strong Armenia” party, after a controversial public allegation linking the premier to drug use.

Pashinyan, who is currently on leave, confirmed the legal action while speaking to journalists personally, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

The dispute stems from comments made by Karapetyan during a press conference, in which he claimed—without providing evidence—that Pashinyan had allegedly brought hallucinogenic mushrooms back from China and used them before every public appearance.
