Pashinyan flags “problematic issues” in Armenia–Russia relations
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has acknowledged the existence of several problematic issues in relations with Russia, expressing confidence that they can be addressed through bilateral discussions.
Pashinyan made the remarks during talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“Recently, some problematic issues have emerged, and I hope that we will discuss and resolve them. Both before and after the elections, we are committed to further developing our relations with the Russian Federation. And of course, we are interested in our participation in the EAEU and in ensuring that the mechanisms provided for in the EAEU treaty operate in a planned manner. I believe this is in the interest of the further development of the EAEU,” the Armenian prime minister said.
He emphasized that Armenia remains committed to a constructive approach in addressing and clarifying all outstanding issues and aspects.
“I hope that following today’s talks we will be able to resolve specific issues,” Pashinyan added.
