Pashinyan: International recognition of "Armenian genocide" not a priority for Armenia
14 March 2025 09:30
The international recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide" in the Ottoman Empire is not among Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
Speaking to Turkish journalists, Pashinyan stated that Armenia and Türkiye have a direct dialogue and that diplomatic representatives remain in constant contact, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"Today, there is a direct dialogue between Armenia and Türkiye. Diplomatic representatives are in continuous communication," he said.
Pashinyan added that, with political will, full normalisation—including the opening of borders and the establishment of diplomatic relations—could be achieved.
