Pashinyan's office labels opposition “hypocritical clowns”
Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armenian Prime Minister, has sharply criticized political figures, calling them “hypocritical clowns.”
The targets of his remarks included Ishkhan Saghatelyan, an MP representing the Supreme Council of ARF Dashnaktsutyun, as well as Levon Kocharyan, son of former President Robert Kocharyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Chakhoyan made his comments in response to recent demonstrations and the political positioning of opposition figures.
“I propose giving the discovered live grenade to the MPs Ishkhan (Dashnak Ishkhan Saghatelyan — ed.) and Levik (the son of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, Levon — ed.) and let them play strikeball with the activists. They will organize a demonstration in support of Bagrat Galstyan (leader of the revanchist movement ‘Sacred Struggle,’ who planned to overthrow Pashinyan — ed.) and his group, claiming they are political prisoners. Hypocritical clowns,” Chakhoyan said.
