Pashinyan's party: Russia hinders Armenia's statehood development
03 September 2024 17:23
The ruling Civil Contract Party in Armenia has accused Russia of obstructing Armenia's progress towards establishing its statehood.
In a recent interview with Armenian media, Hakob Aslanyan, a parliamentary deputy from the party, alleged that Russia's actions are aimed at consolidating its influence in Armenia and securing control over the Zangezur corridor, Caliber.Az reports.
Aslanyan claimed that Russia is reluctant to see Armenia develop as an independent state, while Europe has offered support to aid in Armenia’s state-building efforts.
He emphasized the contrast between European support and Russian interference, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two powers.
