Pashinyan urges EU to reconnect with Georgia to boost Armenia’s EU path
11 March 2026 17:48
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has urged the European Union to restart dialogue with Georgia, emphasising its significance for Armenia’s own European integration process.
“Georgia is our path to the European Union, and we adopted the law to launch Armenia’s EU accession process after Georgia was granted candidate status. We expect and request that a constructive process between the EU and Georgia continues. This is important for Armenia,” Pashinyan said in a speech at the European Parliament, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
He described the lack of dialogue between the EU and Georgia as the biggest obstacle to Armenia’s European integration.
