Petrol tanker collides with freight train in Armenia

A petrol tanker has collided with a container train near the town of Armavir in western Armenia.

The South Caucasus Railway (YUKZhD) confirmed the incident, saying it occurred at around 11:55 local time at Dalarik station, Armenian media reports. 

Authorities said the overhead power line and the train’s locomotive were damaged in the collision. The extent of the damage and possible disruptions to train services remain unclear.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
