Pezeshkian: Iran ready for agreement, US hinders progress
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Tehran remains willing to reach an agreement with Washington, but accused the United States of obstructing progress through what he described as deliberate tactics.
Sharing a post on X, he reiterated his country’s openness to negotiations while criticising US conduct, Caliber.Az reports.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has welcomed dialogue and agreement and continues to do so. Breach of commitments, blockade and threats are main obstacles to genuine negotiations. World sees your endless hypocritical rhetoric and contradiction between claims and actions.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has welcomed dialogue and agreement and continues to do so. Breach of commitments, blockade and threats are main obstacles to genuine negotiations. World sees your endless hypocritical rhetoric and contradiction between claims and actions,” the Iranian leader wrote.
On April 22, the ceasefire agreed between the two countries expired.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said an extension was "highly unlikely," but the White House stressed he has not set a new deadline for an extended ceasefire.
