Pezeshkian thanks Iraq for support in ongoing conflict
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed gratitude to Iraq for its support amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.
In a message posted on X, Pezeshkian thanked both the Iraqi people and government, highlighting what he described as their firm backing of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Caliber.Az, the Iranian leader said Iraq’s stance was rooted not in geographic proximity but in deeper historical, cultural, and religious ties between the two nations.

“The Muslim people of Iraq bravely stood by Iran in this unjust war; this position was not imposed by geography, but was shaped by the unity of history, identity, and religious values. I warmly shake the hands of the people of Iraq, its officials, and fighters on the land of Mesopotamia. We appreciate your resilience and value our shared commitment,” he wrote.
