Pezeshkian thanks residents of Iranian Kurdistan for support

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to residents of Iran’s Kurdistan region for their support during the current situation in the country.

According to Caliber.Az, Pezeshkian shared the message in a post on X.

از مردم غیور و با شرف کردستان که در این روزهای تاریخی پای کار ایران ایستاده‌اند قدردانی می‌کنم. همدرد خانواده‌های شهدا و مجروحان این حوادث هستم. استاندار و نیروهای مسلح حافظ امنیت موظفند با هرگونه تحرک تجزیه طلبانه برخورد قاطع کنند..#کردستان_پای_کار_ایران #ایران_پای_کار_کردستان

In the post, the Iranian president said he was thankful to the “brave and dignified people of Kurdistan who, in these historic days, stand on the side of Iran.”

Pezeshkian also extended condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured in the recent events.

He said the authorities have a responsibility to ensure security in the region and emphasised that the provincial governor and security forces must firmly suppress any manifestations of separatist activity.

The statement was made amid continuing tensions and incidents in Iran’s border regions.
