Pezeshkian: US miscalculated Iran’s internal situation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused the United States of misjudging Iran’s domestic political situation, saying Washington relied on artificial intelligence assessments and intelligence gathered through spy networks and agents.

“The enemy thought it could provoke famine, looting, social collapse, instability, and pressure in our country,” Pezeshkian said, according to his press service’s Telegram channel.

He added that U.S. calculations based on AI-generated assessments and information from intelligence networks had “failed one after another.”

Pezeshkian’s comments come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States following the escalation of their confrontation.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that U.S. intelligence agencies had secretly begun arming Iranian Kurdish groups before the start of the U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran, allegedly as part of efforts to destabilise the Islamic Republic from within.
