PM: Armenia ready to unblock transport links while maintaining sovereignty over them
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Armenia is ready to unblock all transport and economic communications in the region, subject to the preservation of the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the countries through which they pass.
Pashinyan made the remarks on May 25, while taking the floor at the end of an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, according to TASS.
“I want to confirm Armenia's readiness to unblock all transport and economic ties in the region and communications that pass through the territory of the Republic of Armenia. We are ready to open regional communications within the sovereignty and jurisdictions of the countries through which they pass,” he said, commenting on the words of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev about the corridor through the territory of Armenia, which, according to Baku’s plans, should connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan.
