PM candidate Kobakhidze promises to restore Georgia's territorial integrity
Tackling poverty and working to restore Georgia's territorial integrity will be the main tasks of the government, the candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has said.
"The two most important national tasks of our country are the peaceful restoration of territorial integrity and the complete victory over poverty in Georgia," Kobakhidze quoted by Georgian media, according to Caliber.Az.
According to him, the Georgian government will not stop until it has reduced the country's poverty rate from 15 per cent to zero and resolved the territorial issue.
"This is the Georgia of our dreams. The activities of the government in 2024-2028 will be aimed at fulfilling our dream and these tasks," Kobakhidze said.
Kobakhidze is presenting a programme of his government's future work to MPs. The prime ministerial candidate has already stated several times that the programme is for 10 months. After the parliamentary elections, the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party, if it wins, will present a medium-term programme for four years.
