PM: Türkiye to list Armenia as final destination in export documents
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on May 12 that Türkiye will now indicate Armenia as the destination country in export documentation for Turkish goods.
The decision does not mean Turkish goods will be shipped directly to Armenia, but rather that Armenia will formally be identified as the final destination in export paperwork, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“When goods are purchased from one country and exported to a third country, it is necessary to indicate the country to which the goods are ultimately being sent,” Pashinyan noted.
Under previous Turkish regulations, Armenia was not listed among final recipient countries, and imports were processed through a third country before being shipped onward to Armenia.
