Yemen sees Azerbaijan as important partner, PM says
Yemen regards Azerbaijan as a key partner and is seeking to deepen bilateral cooperation through new trade agreements and joint cultural initiatives, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shaya Mohsen al-Zindani said.
Speaking to local media following his meeting with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, al-Zindani said the discussions focused in detail on mechanisms to strengthen interstate relations.
“We see great potential in expanding ties in the fields of economy, trade and culture, which is of particular importance to us,” he stated.
The Yemeni prime minister highlighted the long-standing history of cooperation between the two countries, noting that it has provided a strong foundation for current relations.
“In the conversation with the minister, I noted that many Azerbaijani specialists have successfully worked in various sectors of Yemen’s economy for many years. In addition, hundreds of students went to Azerbaijan to receive an education, and some of them continued their activities there. We hope that these traditions will be preserved and that our countries will continue close cooperation as friendly states,” al-Zindani added.
