Poland’s PM links Epstein to Russia, Kremlin envoy responds with jibe
Kirill Dmitriev, chief executive of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has pushed back against allegations by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk linking Russia to disgraced American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sex trafficking minors.
In a post on the social media platform X, Dmitriev suggested that Tusk bore a resemblance to Epstein and made a sarcastic remark about their possible relationship, as Caliber.Az reports.
“Russia should launch an investigation to determine whether Polish Prime Minister Tusk is Epstein’s secret brother or son,” Dmitriev wrote.
His comments followed Tusk’s claim that Epstein may have been a Russian spy.
On February 3, Tusk said that suspicions were growing in Poland that the activities of the American financier may have been orchestrated by Russia. He added that Polish authorities could ask international partners to cooperate in investigating the Epstein case and Russia’s potential involvement.
In late January, the US Department of Justice released more than three million pages of documents related to the Epstein case. The materials include more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, including what officials described as “large volumes of commercial pornography” found on Epstein’s devices.
