Poland’s Tusk jabs opposition leader, signals possible shift in Hungary
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has taken a swipe at opposition leader Jarosław Kaczyński amid growing expectations that opposition forces could secure a victory in Hungary’s upcoming parliamentary elections.
Tusk made the remarks in a post on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
Kaczyńskiemu nie wyszedł Budapeszt w Warszawie, ale bardzo możliwe, że od niedzieli będziemy mieli Warszawę w Budapeszcie.

The Polish PM recalled comments made by Kaczyński in 2011, when the Polish opposition leader expressed hope that the political success of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán would be replicated in Warsaw, signalling the rise of conservative forces.
“Kaczyński failed to achieve ‘Budapest’ in Warsaw, but it is very likely that starting Sunday we will see ‘Warsaw’ in Budapest,” Tusk wrote, suggesting a potential defeat for Orbán’s party after years in power.
