Police сommence detentions near government building in Yerevan amid revanchist rally
Armenian media, cited by Caliber.Az, reports that police have begun detaining individuals near the government building in Yerevan, where the revanchist movement is conducting its rally.
Garnik Danielyan, a Dashnak Member of Parliament and one of the leaders of the movement attempted multiple times to inquire about the reason for the detentions from Artur Khudinyan, the head of the patrol service of the Armenian Interior Ministry. Khudinyan firmly stated that the police press service would provide information on the matter. Additionally, a commander of the police troops' units advised Danielyan to "calm his people."
Since the early hours of the morning, a government demonstration has been ongoing in front of the government building, coinciding with a Cabinet meeting. The building is effectively encircled by police officers.
