Policeman injured in center of Prague on New Year’s Eve
On New Year’s Eve in central Prague’s Wenceslas Square, a drunk man attacked a police officer, a janitor was taken to hospital with a head injury, more than 30 windows were broken in a nearby street as a result of his use of pyrotechnics.

“A drunk man, for an unknown reason, attacked a police officer who was investigating the incident, along with two other people at the time, in Wenceslas Square. According to Sirzhishteva, in the second half of Saturday alone, Prague police received nearly 500 reports of incidents ranging from domestic violence to breaking windows in homes as a result of the use of pyrotechnics.
