Popular Uzbek singer murdered in Samarkand region

Uzbek singer Zeboyi Jakhon was tragically killed in the Taylak district of the Samarkand region on July 26. Authorities report that her husband is the prime suspect in the case.

According to the Millar program on Milliy TV, the incident occurred when the husband came to visit their children. A dispute broke out between the couple, resulting in the singer allegedly being strangled by her husband. Zeboyi Jakhon was a mother of three children.

The press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, confirmed that the suspect has been detained and a criminal case has been initiated against him.
