Portugal to provide Ukraine with 14 armoured personnel carriers, ammunition, and medical equipment

The Portuguese authorities have decided to transfer 14 M-113 armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine.

The information was published by the EFE news agency with reference to Portuguese Defence Minister Hélena Carreiras.

Additionally, Lisbon will send Kyiv various ammunition, as well as high-capacity power generators and medical supplies as part of the next aid package.

The M-113 is an American-made armoured personnel carrier that went into production in 1960 and is widely used by armies of NATO member states. In the US the M-113 is already being replaced by more modern vehicles but is still in service in European countries.
