Powerful explosion rocks Russia's Dagestan VIDEO / UPDATED

A powerful explosion occurred in the city of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, for unknown reasons, damaging at least 15 cars in a parking lot and shattering almost as the windows in a nearby high-rise building.

The incident was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

“A powerful explosion in Kaspiysk — there is no information yet about the causes or possible casualties; rescue crews are working at the scene,” Mash wrote.

Ambulances and rescue services are currently on site.

Earlier, authorities in the region had issued a warning about a possible drone attack.
