Preserving Russian language in Armenia holds colossal significance, says envoy

Preserving the Russian language in Armenia and passing its traditions to future generations is of enormous importance, Russian Ambassador to Yerevan Sergey Kopyrkin has said.

“Language is the foundation of civilization,” the ambassador noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Head of the Russian House in Armenia (Rossotrudnichestvo) Vadim Fefilov highlighted the contribution of educators to promoting the Russian language, adding that Russian speech will continue to be heard in Yerevan and other cities across Armenia.
