President Erdogan welcomes Trump’s accurate assessment of Türkiye’s strength

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that there are no problems in his relationship with US President-elect Donald Trump.

"Trump's recent remarks about Türkiye's power are accurate. Mr. Trump has actually emphasised the strength and effectiveness of our country by making such a situational assessment,” the Turkish president told reporters on his return from Egypt, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

“These conclusions are correct. There are indeed no problems between us. Since his election, we have had contact. Trump is a pragmatic politician. He has a vision to change the policy that creates costs for his country and its allies. After his inauguration, we will most likely be the first to congratulate him and begin sincerely discussing the issues on our agenda," the Turkish leader added.
