Protest in Yerevan: Calls to expel US envoy over military biolabs

A protest was held outside the US Embassy in Yerevan against the presence of Pentagon-run biological military bases in Armenia.

According to reports by Armenian media, demonstrators carried signs reading “No to Pentagon’s Biological Military Bases in Armenia,” “No to Deadly US Military Biolabs,” and “US Biological Laboratories Pose a Threat to Armenia”, per Caliber.Az.

One of the protest participants announced the launch of a petition in Armenia to declare US Ambassador Kristina Kvien persona non grata.

On March 24, protesters plan to deliver a letter with their demands to the US ambassador.

Additionally, demonstrators expressed their outrage over the US Embassy’s failure to condemn the violence used against demonstrators during the opposition rally on Baghramyan Avenue on June 12, 2024.
