The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) has declared force majeure at the largest oil field of Ash-Sharara due to the complete shutdown of oil production as a result of the actions of protesters.
Force majeure has been declared since 7 January as a result of the blockade of the field by protesters, Gazeta.ru reports, citing TASS.
The corporation noted that the supply of crude oil to the port of Ez-Zawiya has completely stopped. At the moment, NOC is negotiating the resumption of oil production.
