Pundit slams USAID Director for misguided praise of Armenia's economic growth
British and Canadian political expert of Ukrainian origin Taras Kuzio has criticized USAID Director Samantha Power for her perceived incompetence in matters related to Armenia's economic development.
Samantha Power congratulated Armenia on economic growth in a post on her X account, highlighting a 30% increase following the Velvet Revolution in 2018, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Samantha Power needs to replace her research team. This is not due to indigenous economic growth in Armenia but because Armenia has been a leading country in the re-export of Western goods to Russia.

One has to therefore ask why a US official is congratulating Armenia on breaking… https://t.co/OfQkaLnhGM pic.twitter.com/ci4kfYfdMd
Kuzio advised the USAID director to change her team of analysts, pointing out that Armenia's economic growth is largely due to its role as a leader in re-exporting Western goods to Russia.
"So, the question arises, why is a US official congratulating Armenia for violating Western sanctions?" Kuzio asked.
