According to the minister, during the current cabinet term, Türkiye has successfully secured the extradition of 416 criminals, reinforcing its commitment to combating organised crime and ensuring that fugitives face justice.
Among the apprehended were A.A., a member of the “DALTONS” organised crime group, arrested in Georgia on charges of involvement in organised crime and intentional homicide; Y.D., detained in Spain for robbery and armed robbery by multiple persons; and A.K., captured in Azerbaijan for armed robbery at night and aiding the escape of a convict.
Other notable arrests include D.D., apprehended in Montenegro for intentional homicide and forgery; T.Ö., affiliated with the “DEMİRÖZLER” crime group, arrested in Georgia for intentional homicide; and B.G., also caught in Georgia for drug trafficking.
Additionally, E.K. was extradited from Georgia on charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, while M.Ö., wanted for fraud, causing death by negligence, environmental pollution, and assault, was also brought back from Georgia. S.A.U., wanted nationally for fraud through information systems and financial institutions, was similarly apprehended in Georgia.
Minister Yerlikaya praised the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Justice, Interpol-Europol Department, Intelligence and Organized Crime Departments, as well as Public Order and Cybercrime units involved in the operation.
He emphasised Türkiye’s relentless pursuit of organised crime members and drug traffickers, declaring that no matter where fugitives attempt to hide, they will be brought to justice.
