Azerbaijani gasoline highly beneficial for Armenians, says FM Mirzoyan
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that buying gasoline from Azerbaijan is very advantageous for Armenian citizens.
During his remarks on Public Television, Mirzoyan noted that he was aware of queues forming for Azerbaijani fuel, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“Peace has been established, and there are attempts at cooperation, but this does not mean we have completed the necessary path,” Mirzoyan said.
FM stressed that, in his view, as society advances in institutionalising peace, psychological challenges will diminish, and as experience-based cooperation grows, such scenarios will become increasingly realistic.
On the night of December 19, around 01:00, a freight train from Azerbaijan Railways delivered 22 wagons carrying 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline to the Beyuk-Kesik station. The train later reached Armenia via Georgia.
The supply agreement was reached on November 28 in Gabala following a meeting between Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. Earlier in November, grain from Kazakhstan and Russia was also transported to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.
