Russian president accuses Washington of disrupting global balance Provoking arms race
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of attempting to disrupt the global balance of power and provoke an arms race through its aggressive military strategies.
Speaking via videoconference at the launch of the Ocean-2024 joint naval exercise, Putin criticized Washington for seeking to achieve a significant military advantage, which he claimed undermines established security frameworks and destabilizes the Asia-Pacific region, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Putin contended that the US actions are not only breaking the existing security architecture but are also prompting an arms race, disregarding the security concerns of its European and Asian allies.
"The United States is aggressively pursuing a tangible military advantage, thereby upsetting the balance of power and inciting an arms race," Putin stated.
"This approach destabilizes the security environment for both its European and Asian partners," the Russian president added.
