Putin announces date for EAEU summit in Russia
The anniversary summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will take place in Moscow on May 8, and Russia is ready for this event, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Bakhytjan Sagintayev.
"I know that you have already commenced the preparations for the anniversary event, we planned to hold it here on May 8. We will hold it here, in Moscow. We are ready for that, you know that we always do such things with pleasure, we hold events, and we will receive all our colleagues," the head of state said, per TASS.
The Russian president has previously noted that the EAEU's anniversary summit will not only open a new decade in the organisation's life but will also contribute to deepening integration and improving the welfare and living standards of member states.
