Putin chairs online Security Council meeting
Russian President Vladimir Putin has convened an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Kremlin press service.
Putin said the meeting would discuss two issues: “current security matters” and “our participation in building a multipolar world and our actions in this regard.”
The meeting was held via video conference.
This meeting coincides with heightened international activity: Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev is heading to the World Economic Forum in Davos, where U.S. President Donald Trump is also expected with a large delegation. Reports suggest discussions there may touch on U.S. proposals for Ukraine peace talks, involving figures like Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
