Putin: Difficult to predict consequences of Middle East conflict
Tensions in the Middle East have negatively affected numerous industries. Even those directly involved in the conflict find it extremely difficult to predict its consequences.
According to TASS, Russian President Vladimir Putin made this statement at the plenary session of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
“The armed conflict in the Middle East is making an increasingly noticeable impact on today’s situation and is causing significant damage to international logistics, manufacturing, and cooperative supply chains,” the Russian president emphasised.
President Putin noted that entire sectors of the economy—including hydrocarbon extraction and processing, metal production, fertiliser manufacturing, and other industries—are under threat.
“The consequences of the conflict in the Middle East are still difficult to predict accurately. I believe even those involved in the conflict cannot make reliable forecasts,” the Russian leader added.
