Putin: Russia-China cooperation at peak, contributing to global security
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that relations between Russia and China have gone through many tests and are currently at the highest level.
Putin said he was confident that a positive trend would continue in relations between Moscow and Beijing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The Russian leader expressed hope that the Russian and Chinese sides will contribute to world security.
Putin also spoke about cooperation between the two countries. He said Russia and China continue active and effective cooperation in both regional and international issues.
Meanwhile, officials who wished to remain anonymous told Bloomberg that there is growing concern in Washington over the high rate of development of relations between Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.
The US was earlier forced to strengthen its military presence near Alaska amid increased activity by Russia and China. US forces sent a destroyer and an army unit with a missile system to patrol the territories.
