Putin says prosecutors play key role in protecting citizens’ rights in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the work of prosecutors on human rights issues remains the most in-demand public service in the country, noting that more than seven million citizens appealed to prosecution authorities in 2025.
Speaking at an extended meeting of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Putin urged officials to prioritise the protection of vulnerable groups, stressing that responses to violations involving children and other at-risk populations must be swift, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
He also called for stricter oversight of benefit payments to participants involved in Russia’s military operations, as well as closer coordination between agencies to safeguard the rights of armed forces personnel.
Putin added that assistance to service members and their families should be delivered fully and without delay.
