Putin sees “no point” in meeting Ukrainian counterpart

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he sees no point in meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Russian leader made the remarks during a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“For now, I see no point,” Putin said in response to a question from the session moderator.

At the same time, Putin stressed that he has never refused a meeting with Zelenskyy. However, he said he is not willing to engage in what he described as “going back and forth over nothing,” noting that he has already experienced such discussions before.
