Putin to hold talks with visiting foreign leaders during Victory Day events

President Vladimir Putin is planning to hold contacts with foreign political leaders who are expected to travel to Moscow for Victory Day on May 9, according to his aide.

Yuri Ushakov told Life that a number of foreign state officials have already expressed interest in attending the commemorations in the Russian capital.

He said the day would include the traditional parade and public celebrations, alongside a series of international engagements involving the Russian president.

“So May 9 will feature the parade and a day of festivities, but there will also be international contacts for the president,” Ushakov said.
