Putin to visit Ashgabat for international forums

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Ashgabat on December 11–12 to take part in a forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality.

A series of bilateral meetings between Putin and foreign leaders is planned on the sidelines of the forum, Caliber.Az reports via the Kremlin press service. 

Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, enshrined in its 1995 constitution and UN Resolution 50/80, positions the country as a "Switzerland of Central Asia"—abstaining from military alliances, hosting no foreign troops, and prioritizing economic pragmatism over geopolitical blocs.
