Putin, Trump gear up for key phone conversation on March 18
The Kremlin has confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on March 18.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian leader, confirmed the call during a press briefing, stating, "Yes, it is indeed scheduled. A conversation is set for Tuesday," in response to questions from journalists, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The call follows growing international interest in the developments between the two leaders, with both sides expected to discuss key global issues.
Note that, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he intends to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 18.
"I'll be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work's been done over the weekend," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One during a late flight back to Washington from Florida.
