Joint strikes by US, Israel target railway lines in Iran's Karaj VIDEO
Railway tracks in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran, were struck by US and Israeli airstrikes, the Red Crescent press office has reported on Telegram.
Video footage shows Red Crescent personnel evacuating casualties from the site of the air raid.
The strikes come several days after a major bridge in Karaj — a vital link on the Tehran–Karaj corridor — was hit on April 2, 2026, resulting in casualties and prompting Iranian officials to condemn the attack as a deliberate assault on civilian infrastructure.
Iranian Revolutionary Guard commanders have warned of harsher retaliation if US and Israeli strikes continue to hit civilian infrastructure, indicating that these attacks have broadened beyond strictly military objectives into economic and transport networks.
