Regional tensions prompt Türkiye to prolong air travel ban

Türkiye has extended the suspension of flights by its airlines to several Middle Eastern countries amid ongoing security concerns, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced.
Flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan will remain canceled until March 6 due to persistent risks in the region, the minister said, TRT Haber reports.
Earlier, passenger services to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates had also been suspended through March 3.
In a separate statement, Pegasus Airlines confirmed that it will not resume flights to Iran until March 12.
