Representatives of world religions to gather in Astana

Representatives of world and traditional religions from Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Shintoism from 24 countries of the world - Great Britain, the US, Vatican, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, China, Mongolia, Japan, India and other countries - will meet in Astana at the 21^st meeting of the Congress Secretariat on October 11.

The main issue on the agenda is the discussion and adoption of the concept of development of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023 - 2033, initiated by the head of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the 7^th Congress, Trend reports.

The Secretariat of the Congress, the working body of the forum, meets annually to consider issues of implementation of the decisions of the Congress. Founded by the decision of the participants of the First Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held on September 23-24, 2003 in Astana.
