Reuters: Khamenei and Pezeshkian among targets as strikes hit Iran

US-Israeli strikes reportedly targeted senior Iranian leadership figures, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, an Israeli official said, according to Reuters. The outcome of the attacks has not yet been confirmed.

Reuters previously cited a source familiar with the situation as saying that Khamenei was not in Tehran at the time and had been transferred to a secure location.

An Iranian source close to the authorities stated that several high-ranking commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with several political figures, were killed during the strikes.

At the same time, Iranian media reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is safe.
