According to the information, the vehicles’ local integration work will be carried out in Romania.
Back in April, Türkiye’s global land systems manufacturer Otokar signed a Joint Venture agreement in Romania with one of the country’s leading defence firms, Automecanica S.A. The accord aimed to manufacture locally in Romania and develop further defence capabilities in the country.
Besides the production of COBRA II 4×4 ATBTU armoured vehicles in Romania, the agreement also entails engineering, marketing, and after-sales services activities in the country.
According to the signed Joint Venture Agreement, each Otokar Land Systems SRL and Automecanica S.A. will hold a 50 per cent stake in the agreement.
