Rosatom chief in Yerevan for key talks with Armenian leadership

Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev is in Yerevan for talks with Armenia’s senior leadership.

Likhachev arrived in the Armenian capital on the evening of September 28 and is expected to remain in the country for less than 24 hours, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

During his visit, the Rosatom chief is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

The talks are expected to focus on bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including the Armenian nuclear power plant and the possible extension of the operating life of its power unit.
