Rubio to sign memorandum with Armenian FM during Yerevan visit

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during his visit to Yerevan on May 26, according to the US State Department schedule.

The US State Department reports that Rubio will meet with his Armenian counterpart at 3:30 p.m. local time at the Yerevan international airport, and the signing of the document is scheduled for 4 p.m. The content of the memorandum to be signed is not disclosed, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

On May 25, the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed Rubio’s planned visit to Yerevan, stating that bilateral documents would be signed following talks between the two officials, after which both sides are expected to issue statements to the press.
