Russia arrests suspects in blowing up Crimean bridge
Kyiv District Court of Simferopol sent five suspects into custody in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge.
Those suspected of committing a crime on the Crimean bridge, provided for in clauses “a”, “b”, “c”, part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act), Artem Azatyan, Artur Terchanyan, Georgy Azatyan, Roman Solomko and Vladimir Zloba were taken into custody until December 8, Kommersant was informed in the press service of the court.
Undermining a truck on the Crimean bridge occurred on October 8. As a result of the incident, two car spans partially collapsed and seven fuel tanks of the railway train also caught fire. Four people died.
According to the FSB [Russian security service], the organizer of the explosion is the head of military intelligence of Ukraine Kirill Budanov. In line with the security service, 12 people also participated in the preparation of the attack, 8 of them were detained. Among them are 5 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Ukraine and Armenia. According to preliminary data, the bomb for the explosion was camouflaged in rolls of film on 22 pallets weighing 22,770 kg.
