Russia, Belarus to jointly develop aircraft

The creation and production of the Belarusian-Russian passenger airplane is at the stage of intergovernmental coordination.

Andrey Tuchin, the chief engineer of the Baranovichi enterprise 558th Aviation Repair Plant, said this on the CTV channel, according to Gazeta.ru.

"This year we started working out the issue, now it is at the stage of intergovernmental coordination... Our enterprise is working out with our Russian partner all the technical aspects, options for cooperation," Tuchin said.

He noted that as soon as a decision is made on financing the project - the work will go at a faster pace.
