Russia calls Trump’s Board of Peace "irrelevant" amid Iran war

Russia has not yet decided whether to join the Board of Peace for Gaza settlement, initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump, with the ongoing war in Iran making the concept appear less relevant.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told TASS that no decision has been made.

“No, there is no decision. We see that, overall, while the war [in the Middle East] continues, the phrase ‘Peace Council’ is probably less relevant now than it was before the war began. We should probably wait to see how this all ends,” Peskov said.

The statement underscores Moscow’s cautious stance amid heightened tensions in the region and uncertainty over U.S. diplomatic initiatives.
