Russia claims destruction of nine Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s air defense systems have reportedly destroyed nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in an official release, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the statement, five drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, two over the Kursk region, and two over the Black Sea.

The Russian authorities have not provided details on potential damages or casualties.
